Dark Pyrex Continues to Make Waves in the Italian Hip-Hop Scene with His Sanremo Type Beat Edition Freestyle that Featured on Esse Magazine
Italian trap artist Dark Pyrex has jumped on the Sanremo Type Beat, marking this week’s Sanremo Festival with his freestyle featured on Esse Magazine. From Rome, Italy Dark Pyrex is a member of the popular Italian trap group ‘Dark Polo Gang’, which was formed in 2014. He is one of the four founding members, alongside Tony Effe, Dark Wayne, and Dark Side.
The group is one of the most popular rap collectives in Italy, boasting 1.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify and 865,000 subscribers on YouTube. After forming in 2014, they released their debut album, ‘Full Metal Dark’, in 2015, followed by their second album, ‘Crack Musica’, in 2016, which featured only Tony Effe and Dark Side. That same year, Dark Wayne released his solo album, ‘Succo di Zenzero’, under the group’s name. Dark Pyrex also released his own solo album, ‘The Dark Album’, in 2016, which is widely regarded as one of the group’s best projects and remains his only solo album to date.
Fast-forward to today, Dark Polo Gang has released eight albums, with their most recent project, ‘Dark Boys Club’, dropping in 2020. Of these eight albums, Dark Pyrex has contributed to Full Metal Dark, The Dark Album, Trap Lovers, and Dark Boys Club.
