Jim Jones and Dyce Payso are two rappers currently putting New York Hip Hop on the map. Joseph Guillermo Jones II, popularly known by his stage name Jim Jones, is a well-established name in the Hip Hop scene as we all know. The Harlem rapper, who also doubles as a record producer, has been active in Hip Hop since 1997. Despite not being from the current generation of artists, Jones remains one of the hottest and most consistent rappers from New York City till date and has been releasing new music almost every few weeks in recent years.

Jones has been a key figure in Hip Hop since releasing his debut album, ‘On My Way to Church’, in 2003. The album peaked number eighteen on the US Billboard 200 chart, number three on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart, and number four on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Since then, Jim Jones has released six solo albums and five collaborative albums.

His song ‘This S**T Still in Harlem’, featuring Suzi, was released a month ago and has already amassed 2.2 million views on YouTube, becoming a Harlem anthem. Jones is set to release his 13th studio album, ‘At The Church Steps’, on February 28th. The project will feature artists such as Statik Selektah, Termanology, Bigcruz, Rone, Keen Streetz, Dyce Payso, Fabolous, DramaB2R, Suzi, and Dave East.

Of course, you can’t mention Jim Jones without talking about Dyce Payso, who has collaborated with him on over 10 tracks. They have been representing their borough on the Hip Hop scene with their joint efforts.

Payso is currently one of the fastest-rising Hip Hop artists and has gained massive popularity, especially after his song ‘Let It Go‘ with the late rapper Fatman Scoop. The track made waves across the Hip Hop community and even caught the attention of Rick Ross, who liked it after it was posted on our instagram page BarsByCulture. Payso has one studio album to his name, ‘Fame & Money’, which was released in 2017.

In just the last three months, Dyce Payso has released 11 music videos, proving his consistency in the game. It wouldn’t be a stretch to label him as one of the most dedicated rappers from New York right now. Payso will also be featured on Jim Jones’ upcoming album ‘At The Church Steps’, set to drop on February 28th. The two New York rappers have two collaborations on the album: ‘White Lines’ and ‘Call on Me’.
