Lil Durk reveals his le*n addiction was so bad that he used to miss important phone calls from Diddy because he used to sit back and sip le*n.
It’s no secret Lil Durk used to be an addict before the Chicago rapper turned his life around and went to rehab.
Guest on the Full Send Podcast, Lil Durk revealed his le*n addiction was so bad that he missed important phone calls from people including Diddy just because he wanted to sit back and sip le*n.
He revealed,
“When I used to sip le*n, it was like, um, as a matter of fact, for instance, Diddy would want to do some sh*t with me and would be like we finna do this and I’m like come on but I was sipping le*n. I’m missing phone calls and I felt like a little ass boy, like I wasn’t ready for the sh*t. So I just stopped sipping le*n for real.”
Durk eventually overcame his le*n and other drug addictions. In June 2024, the rapper revealed he went to rehab in 2023 to turn his life around after becoming hooked on Xa**x and le*n
In an interview with TMZ, the Chicago rapper talked about his drug addiction and what motivated him to overcome it,
“It was tough at first but it ain’t that tough because I really knew what I wanted,” revealed the 31-year-old.”
Durk went on to reveal that what motivated him to overcome the addiction was the fact that he wanted to become a better father and leader.
“I wanted better. I wanted to be a better man, a better father, a better leader. I’m thinking clearer. My main goal is peace, being with the family, and staying out of bullsh*t,”
Durk said.
“I just see myself staying on the right track and trying to change a lot of lives. This is for the youth or the older people who want to do better and feel like they are embarrassed or like people are going to talk about them.”
The “All My Life” rapper also promised to open a rehab center in Chicago so he can help other people overcome drug addiction like he did.
“In Chicago, I want to build one [a rehab facility] because I know what it did for me. I know it could help a lot of people.”
Lil Durk’s idea has always been to stop crime in his hometown of Chicago ever since he turned his life around, and honestly, it would be fair to say that this is a giant step towards achieving that.
