Meek Mill has gone on a rant against people who hate Floyd Mayweather as he can’t understand why people hate people for trying to win and being successful.
Floyd Mayweather is one of the best boxers ever to step foot in the ring. He had an incredible 90% KO rate during his career, which is one of the all-time highs. Mayweather also boasts an incredible boxing record of 50-0-0 with 27 of his wins coming by knockout. But despite all this, Floyd still has his fair share of haters. The boxer has often been criticized for his personality for obvious reasons.
In an interview with The Angie Martinez show, Meek Mill talking about the propaganda blogs that try to create on him, went on a rant against people who hate successful people, using Mayweather as an example, saying he doesn’t understand why people hate someone who is “winning as a champion.”
“You say you hate Mayweather, like how can you hate somebody who is winning as a champion?”
He said. Meek Mill also defended Mayweather’s lifestyle of always doing ‘wild things’ sometimes, claiming it’s not a good enough reason for people to hate him as everyone does wild things once in a while.
“I don’t hate Mayweather. He does wild things sometimes, I do wild things sometimes, so I don’t hate him,”
he continued.
The Philadelphia rapper believes people are supposed to see Floyd Mayweather as an inspiration rather than hate him, given the fact that he came from nothing and achieved success.
“As soon as that fight comes on, he might show me 20 Rolls Royces and I’m like ‘damn, he just inspired the **** out of me, man. A young boy came from nothing and now you’re on that?’ I can’t hate you. You hate yourself if you hate somebody else like that.”
Fans have often criticized Mayweather for allegedly dodging fights against strong opponents and taking fights against weaker ones during his career. His alleged beating of his baby mama has also fueled the hate from fans.
