Meek is making headlines for yet another controversial opinion after the rapper said on a podcast that girls in a relationship should not be opening DMs from other men. Making an appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, the Philadelphia rapper, who is already known for his controversial takes, revealed he would be disappointed if a girl he’s dating opens DMs from another man and would consider it cheating.
When asked by host Gillie Da King if a girl opening a man’s DMs while in a relationship should be considered cheating, Meek replied:
“It’s opening the door,” he said. “Check if your girl is a nurse and she’s opening her DM for a Meek Mill and communicating with me, what do you call that? Your girlfriend and she ain’t tell you that she was communicating with me. I don’t even wanna use me. If my girl communicating with another guy on my back, and not telling, what is that? Let’s classify it. It’s definitely a sign of disloyalty. Shoulders to cry on can swiftly turn into a d**k to ride on.”
Meek Mill’s opinion has left fans in a heated debate on whether men should feel insecure when their wives or girlfriends are texting other men or if they should just trust their partners. The rapper himself has been at the center of multiple cheating allegations, too.
According to Bossip reports, Nicki Minaj, whom the rapper was in a relationship with for two years, broke up with Meek Mill after learning that he had been carrying on a year-long affair with a Philadelphia boutique owner.
Back in 2018, the rapper was also accused by Kanye West of having an affair with his wife at the time, Kim Kardashian. The Yeezus rapper accused his wife on Twitter during what appeared to be a bipolar meltdown on Tuesday night, revealing that he had been trying to divorce the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star since 2018, alleging that she had an inappropriate relationship with Meek in 2018.
Meek Mill denied the claims but also revealed that he and his girlfriend at the time, Milan Harris, ended their relationship by mutual agreement a few days after Kanye West’s allegations.
The encounter Kanye was referring to was the Criminal Justice Reform Summit, which took place in Los Angeles in November 2018. While Kanye tweeted that the event was held at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, it was held at the Jeremy West Hotel in West Hollywood.
